Feb 5 - All Shall Be Well - Rev. Karen Talieson The challenges, struggles, and heartache we face throughout our lives can bring us to our knees. How is it that we manage to somehow survive and sometime even thrive in the midst of great adversity?
Feb 12 - Singing at Thresholds: the Gift of Music, the Gifts of Love, - Mattie Wheeler & Threshold Singers
There is a power to song and the human vioce that provides soothing comfort at times of stress. We croon to babies when they are hungry, angry, frightened or hurting. Humans still need this nurturing as we age and go through the natural, very challenging transitions of life. The women who sing with Bellingham Threshold Singers freely provide loving song to individuals in need, often as they move towards and into death. Mattie Wheeler joins with others to describe why it feeds their souls to do this work. Come relax in the embrace of some music and learn a song or tow to sing on your own.
Feb 19 - Not having All the Answers - Rev. Marcia Stanard As Unitarian Universalists, we don't claim to have all of the answers. In this service, we will explore what it means to be part of a faith tradition that embraces questioning rather than certainty. Rev. Marcia Standard is the minister of Wy'east Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Portland, Oregon.
